Bird of a Feather

TN5.jpg

This spread-wing great blue heron, made out of roofing tin, is perched outside Mitty’s Metal Art in the small town of Cumberland Gap, nestled within the Tennessee mountains. This bird was created by metal artist William Brock of Rusted Bird Studio.
“Each feather is hand cut. The tin is welded to a 3/8 round rod substructure. Each bird is unique. I also make birds out of copper roofing,” William explains.
Wonderful street art and a great reminder to look up more.
